I’m a firm believer that everyone needs to do something that they’re not natural good at. For me, that’s a lot of things (hello, Dota!) but probably my most obvious one is building and DIY projects. I’ve built a homemade teardrop trailer that I travelled in for three months, and a Geodesic Dome Tiny Home that I lived in for a year, and will in theory become a pottery studio come spring, when it’s warm enough to set it up again.
In the future, I hope to do improved versions of both of these things: a bigger travel trailer for 1-2 month trips tentatively called Foamie 2: Slide-Out Boogaloo, and a larger dome cabin somewhere peaceful, preferably in the mountains and/or near a lake. In the meantime, I’m fixing and improving my little needs-love house in Warwick, RI, which I bought in October 2020.
